Women's cross country team to compete at FGC Invitational

The Eastern Florida State College women's cross country team will compete in the FGC Invitational Friday morning at Alligator Park in Lake City, Florida.

The meet, hosted by Florida Gateway College, will host nine state teams and the women's 5K race will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The Titans come into the race looking to improve as they begin the push towards the postseason. The FGC Invitational will be the final regular season race for the Titans who will compete in the FCSAA Cross Country Championships Oct. 24.

Among the other teams competing in the FGC Invitational are Pasco Hernando, who is ranked 22nd in the USTFCCCA NJCAA Division II Cross Country national poll as well as Centra Florida, Chipola, Tallahassee and host Florida Gateway.
