Women's cross country team has solid debut at Southern Showcase
Eastern Florida State College women's cross country team opened the fall season at the Southern Showcase in Alabama
The Eastern Florida State College women's cross country finished 47th overall in the Southern Showcase Friday morning at the John Hunt Cross Country Running Park in Huntsville, Alabama.
Competing against NCAA Division I and Division II teams, the Titans opened the season with a solid performance. Eastern Florida State College was led by sophomore Rori Pandolfini, who finished 376th overall. Pandolfini finished the 5K in 20 minutes, 54.9 seconds.
Teammate Malinda Underwood finished in 21:07.1 and finished 387th while Aubrey Orcutt rounded out the EFSC top runners as Orcutt finished in 21:27.2.
Ember Michaels finished 452nd with a time of 23:30.6 with teammates Maddy Lusk (24:29.5), Abigail Derisme (25:06.7), Kyla Waymire (25:20.3) and Liz Morales (26:33.4) all running in the season-opening event.
Eastern Florida State College will compete in the Pre-Region Meet on Sept. 26 in Tallahassee.
