Women's volleyball team hits road for conference match Wednesday

The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team will hit the road for a Citrus Conference match Wednesday night.

The Titans will travel to Daytona to meet the No. 16 ranked Daytona State College Falcons at 6 p.m. Daytona State College won the first meeting in three sets and are 4-2 in the conference.

Eastern Florida State College comes into the match 2-4 in the conference and looking to get back on track and have lost three straight.

The Falcons are led by Charizma Lofton who is averaging 2.85 kills per set while teammate Abana Teran is averaging 1.87 kills per set. Alice Santoro was named the FCSAA Division I Defensive Player of the Week and is third in the state in blocks per set, averaging 1.16.

Freshman Diara Gaye has at least five kills in each of the past five matches for the Titans while teammate Jordyn Cox has 203 kills this season which is third in the state.
