Women's volleyball team sweeps Santa Fe on the road Wednesday

The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team picked up its second straight Citrus Conference win on Wednesday night.
The No. 16 Titans went on the road and defeated Santa Fe College in three sets, 25-11, 25-20, 25-16 to improve to 2-1 in the conference.
The Titans jumped out to a 6-1 lead and then went on a 6-0 run behind the strong serving of Leyre Arroyo Sanchez. Up 20-10, the Titans won five of the last six points to win 25-11.
In the second set, Santa Fe kept things close throughout but a couple of big blocks and a Diara Gaye kill gave the Titans a 25-20 win and a 2-0 lead.
The Titans were up 12-3 and went on to win the final set 25-16 and won the match.
Jordyn Cox finished with 14 kills while Arroyo Sanchez had 10 in the win.
Eastern Florida State College will return home Saturday for a Citrus Conference match with No. 1 ranked Florida Southwestern State College at 2 p.m. Admission is free for matches at Titan Field House and the match will be shown live on the WEFS-TV as well as EFSC Titans YouTube page.
