The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team opened the regular season with a win in battle of top 20 teams.
The 14th-ranked Titans picked up a 1-0 victory against No. 17 Motlow State College Friday afternoon in Tennessee.
Freshman Avery Bracher scored her first goal as a Titan in the first half and the Titans defense shut out a Motlow State offense that returned one of the top scorers in the country last season.
Maja Lundin was credited with the assist on the goal.
Eastern Florida State College won the season opener for the fourth straight season and second straight time they have opened with a win against Motlow State.
The Titans will have Saturday off before facing Calhoun Community College on Sunday afternoon in Tennessee. The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. eastern time.
