Women's golf team headed to NJCAA Division I National Tournament
The Eastern Florida State College women’s golf team received an at-large bid on Thursday to the NJCAA Division I National Golf Championship in Moline, Illinois
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team has punched their ticket to the NJCAA Division I National Golf Championship in Moline, Illinois.
The Titans received an at-large bid on Thursday after finishing fourth in the NJCAA Southeast District Championships in Orlando.
It will be the fifth straight season that Eastern Florida State College has qualified for the national tournament and finished eighth last season.
Sophomore Ann Burel led the Titans at districts, shooting a 76 in the final round and placed fifth overall. Teammate Mila Tang shot a 74 and finished sixth overall while Margaux Blais and Blair Powers tied for 11th.
The Titans will be one of 15 teams in the national tournament and one of four teams from the state of Florida. Seminole State College, Daytona State College and Palm Beach State College will also be competing in the tournament.
The national tournament will be played at the Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley, Illinois beginning Monday, May 11. The final round is scheduled for Thursday, May 14.
