Women's golf team places sixth at Oldfield Collegiate

The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team placed sixth overall at the Oldfield Collegiate in Okatie, South Carolina on Tuesday.
The Titans shot a 307 in the second round after finishing the first round with a 315 in the morning round. UIndy won the title, shooting a 294 in the final round while Catawba and Columbus State tied for second.
Sophomore Mila Tang shot a 2-over 74 in the final round and finished tied for eighth overall in the tournament. Teammate Blair Powers tied for 14th overall at 8-over for the tournament after also shooting 2-over 74 in the final round.
Ann Burel finished tied for 20th overall after shooting a 78 in the final round. Margaux Blais finished with an 81 while Vivian Luu also shot an 84.
"Another tough weather event, played 10 holes Monday before severe thunderstorms suspended play," Howell said. "Played 26 holes today teeing off in 38 degree temperatures with 15-20 mph winds."
The women's golf team will now prepare for the NJCAA Southeast District Championship beginning April 13.
