The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team lost a Citrus Conference game on the road Wednesday.
The Titans lost to Daytona State College 78-65 and are now 6-11 in the conference as three teams are vying for fourth place and punch ticket to the FCSAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament.
Eastern Florida State College stayed with Daytona State College throughout the first quarter as Grace Strickland hit a 3-pointer to make it a two-point game once again. Daytona State College led 20-17 after the first quarter.
The Falcons used a 10-2 run in the second quarter to build the lead to double digits and led by nine at halftime.
The third quarter saw Daytona State College begin to pull away and led by 17 heading to the fourth quarter.
The Titans would cut into the lead, outscoring the Falcons 16-12 in the final quarter.
Ofir Parpara finished with a team-high 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Angela Mirkovic had 12 points and eight rebounds.
Lamiyah Hogans led the Falcons with 24 points.
Eastern Florida State College will wrap up the regular season on Saturday afternoon, traveling to St. Petersburg College for a Citrus Conference game at 2 p.m.
