Eastern Florida State College came out on an 8-1 run as Bruna DaSilva and Milica Lazarevic each hit 3-pointers early in the first half. An Ofir Parpara took a 10-point lead at 15-5 with a free throw. But Daytona State College finished the first quarter strong, cutting the lead to 18-13 after the first quarter.
The Titans would hold the lead throughout the second quarter and went to the locker room leading 37-31.
Daytona State College had a big third quarter and took the lead briefly late in the quarter but a DaSilva basket kept the Titans out front after three quarters, 50-49.
With the game tied 65-65 and 4:35 left in the game, Grace Strickland hit a 3-pointer that led to an 11-0 run and they would hang on for the win.
The victory evened the season series with the Falcons, who fell to 9-2 in the conference. Lamiyah Hogans finished with a team-high 23 points while Catalina Roco had 19 points.
Lazarevic led all scorers with 29 points, marking the third straight game the freshman has scored 20-plus points. Parpara had 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds while DaSilva finished with 17 points.
Eastern Florida State College is now 4-7 in the conference and will look to stay hot on Saturday when they travel to Miami Dade College for a conference game.
