Bio
Andrew Zeger is in his third season as the Eastern Florida State College softball program's head coach.
Year 2 was a record-setting season for the program under Zeger as the team finished with a program-best 46 wins and their first appearance in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament. The team made it to the South Atlantic District B Championship game and then received an at-large bid to the national tournament. The Titans would go 2-2 at the national tournament, making it into the final eight.
The team scored the most runs (506), hit .366 as a team, slugging .564 with 54 home runs which are all season highs. The team also hit more doubles (124) and triples (33) than any Titans team before them.
Along the way they had the largest win in program history, a 26-0 victory over Hillsborough Community College and had a 10-game win streak which was the longest in Titans history.
He had a good first season with the Titans, recording 39 wins and made it to the FCSAA Division I Softball Championship in Clearwater.
Zeger came to Melbourne from New Jersey where he was the head coach at Georgian Court University, an NCAA Division II school. In his one season at Georgian Court the team went 20-25 overall and 12-10 in the conference, making the postseason.
The Titans had 40 wins last season and reached the FCSAA Division I/NJCAA South Atlantic District Championships for the first time in 2019.
Zeger has been an assistant coach at the United State Military Academy, Army West Point as well as Furman University and Texas A&M Corpus Christi University but he is excited to return to Florida after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Daytona State College as well as a hitting instructor at ProSwings in Orlando.
