Men's tennis team tops ABAC on Friday

The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team topped Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College 5-4 on Friday.

The Titans won two out of the three doubles matches to start the match and then won the final three singles matches to claim the victory.

The No. 2 doubles team of Pablo Garcia and Tomas Kurz Cardozo won 6-3 and the No. 3 doubles team of Salva Mulet and Ignacio Sendra picked up the 6-2 win.

In singles, Johan Mottlau won in three sets at No. 4 singles, topping Ranby-Al Benjamin 7-2 in the third set. Mottlau won the first set 6-3 and lost the second 7-5.

Tomas Kurz Cardozo won in straight sets at No. 5 singles, claiming a 6-2, 6-3 win. Ignacio Sendra also won in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.

The men's tennis team will play Troy University on Saturday before returning home for a match against Keiser University on Tuesday. The match will begin at 2 p.m. at Titan Tennis Center.
