Trio of men's soccer players named to All-Region 8 Team
Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer players Joao Victor Loureiro, Henry Crosthwaite and Ocira Lazarus were named to the All-Region 8 Team on Wednesday
Three members of the Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team were named to the All-Region 8 Team on Wednesday.
The trio will be honored before the Region 8 Semifinal against Miami Dade College on Thursday night at Orlando Health Stadium.
Forward Joao Victor Loureiro and midfielders Henry Crosthwaite and Ocira Lazarus were all recognized for their play this season for the 10-2-1 Titans.
Loureiro has had a good season for the Titans as the sophomore from Brazil has scored six goals and assisted on two others this season. Loureiro has two game-winning goals.
Crosthwaite has played in the midfield for most of the season for the Titans and has excelled with a team-leading nine assists to go with his four goals. The freshman from Frankfurt, Germany has started 12 games for Eastern Florida State College.
Lazarus has started 12 games for the Titans this season and has been an integral part of the team's success, solidifying the middle of the field as the holding midfielder has helped a defensive group hold teams to 1.10 goals per game this season.
Eastern Florida State College will play Miami Dade College Thursday night at 7 p.m. Admission is free and fans can watch the game live online at EFSC Titans YouTube page.
