Men's golfer Jamie Smith honored as national tourney begins

Eastern Florida State College men's golfer Jamie Smith was named to the NJCAA Division I PING All-District team on Monday night.

Smith was one of 10 players from the Southeast District to be honored during the NJCAA Division I National Tournament banquet in Newton, Kansas.

Smith shot 2-under 214 at the NJCAA Southeast District Championship to win the individual medalist honors. The freshman from Sydney, Australia also won the Bantams Invitational as well as the Seahawk Shootout in the fall.

Players across four districts and 20 schools earned all-district honors in 2026.

The NJCAA Division I National Tournament will begin Tuesday morning at Sand Creek Station with the Titans teeing off beginning at 10:10 a.m.
