The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will take a five-game winning streak to Miami on Saturday.
The Titans will face Miami Dade College in a Citrus Conference match at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Eastern Florida State College is coming off an overtime win against No. 12 Daytona State College and are 7-3 in the past 10 games. The Titans are now 6-3 in the conference and tied with Santa Fe for third place.
Miami Dade College is one game behind, sitting at 5-4 as the teams vie for a spot in the state tournament. The Sharks won the first meeting at Titan Field House, beating the Titans 79-72. Redshirt sophomore Anthony Breland had a game-high 23 points and is averaging 17.6 points this season.
Freshman Sean Register Jr. leads the FCSAA in scoring, averaging 24.7 points per game this season and is coming off a 30-point performance against Daytona State College. He recorded his 10th double double of the season in the win.
Teammates Joviel Acevedo-Arroyo and Misael Cruz Rodriguez are averaging 12 points per game this season.
Following Saturday's game, Eastern Florida State College will return to Titan Field House on Wednesday evening for a conference game against Santa Fe College beginning at 7:30 p.m.
