Men's basketball team hits road Saturday for conference game

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will travel to Indian River State College for a Citrus Conference matchup on Saturday.
The Titans are now 2-3 in the Citrus Conference and are coming off a 94-79 victory over Hillsborough Community College. Eastern Florida State College is averaging 92.5 points per game which is second in the FCSAA led by Sean Register Jr. who is leading the state in scoring at 23.8 points per game.
Register Jr. has scored 20-plus points in four of the past five games and has scored at least 20 points in 15 of the 19 games this season. The forward is also averaging 8.4 rebounds per game this season.
Teammates Joviel Acevedo-Arroyo and Misael Cruz Rodriguez are each averaging 12 points per game. Acevedo-Arroyo is coming off a 22-point performance against Hillsborough.
Indian River State College is coming off its second conference loss, falling 95-79 to No. 11 Daytona State College. The River is now 3-2 in the conference and 11-7 overall and is averaging 86.4 points per game.
Four players come into the matchup averaging at least 11 points a game led by Anthony Ferrer who is averaging 15.9 points per game.
Saturday's game will tip off at 2 p.m. at Indian River State College and fans can watch the game live online.
The Titans will be back home Wednesday, Jan. 28 against St. Petersburg College. The game will be broadcast live on WEFS-TV and it is an EFSC Alumni, Friends and Fans night with giveaways throughout the game.
