Men's basketball team faces Northwest Florida in Tallahassee Saturday

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will play No. 5 Northwest Florida State College Saturday afternoon at the Florida College's Men's Basketball Shootout in Tallahassee.
The Titans come into the matchup 6-2 this season and is led by Sean Register Jr. who is leading the FCSAA in scoring, averaging 24.1 points per game this season. The freshman has four double-doubles and is averaging 9.9 rebounds.
Teammate Joviel Acevedo-Arroyo is averaging 12.5 points while Tyson Wilson is scoring 11 points and dishing out five assists per game for the Titans. Nick Oliver is averaging 10 points per game off the bench.
Northwest Florida State College is 10-1 this season and has scored over 100 points in five of the 11 games. Four players are averaging at least 10 points per game for the Raiders led by DJ Shine who is averaging 18.6 in nine games. Shine is hitting 56.1 percent of his 3-point shots this season which leads the state as he has made 23 3-pointers. Teammate Braylon Roman is averaging 13.4 points while Justin Burns is scoring 12.9 points per game. Jonas Nichols has been averaging 10.2 points.
It is the first game of five in the next week and a half for the Titans who will play a couple of games at Florida Southwestern State College on Dec 11-12 before hosting the Eastern Florida Classic on Dec. 15-16 at Titan Field House.
