Men's basketball team hits road for conference game Saturday
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will travel to Polk State College on Saturday for a Citrus Conference game at 2 p.m.

The 24th ranked Titans will play Polk State College for the first time this season Saturday for a 2 p.m. game.
Eastern Florida State College is coming off a 67-50 victory over Hillsborough Community College on Wednesday night and are 6-1 in the conference and 17-3 overall. The Titans got off to a fast start against the Hawks and never looked back as Emondrek Erkins-Ford had 17 points while Fredy-Salam Sylla had 14 and Chandler Watts finished with 13 points in the game.
Erkins-Ford is averaging 16.6 points per game which is third in the FCSAA and his 7.3 rebounds is fifth in the state.
Polk State College has won two of the last three conference games and are coming off a convincing win against Indian River State College last Saturday. The Eagles are 14-7 overall and are 8-3 at home this season. Ty Owens is averaging 13.7 points per game this season and has scored 14.7 points in conference games. Teammate Fray Nguimbi is averaging 10.6 points and 8.3 rebounds which is tied for second in the FCSAA.
The Titans have won the past seven meetings between the two teams.
