Pitcher Parker Trowbridge named FCSAA Division I Pitcher of Week

Eastern Florida State College baseball pitcher Parker Trowbridge is named the FCSAA Division I Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.

The sophomore starting pitcher had his best outing of the season on Saturday, allowing just one hit in a complete game win. Trowbridge allowed a single to begin the game and he would retire the next 17 hitters in a row.

The lone run allowed was on that single as Nick Upperman stole second and third and scored on a groundout.

The left-hander struck out eight hitters and the only other base runners were two players hit by a pitch.

Trowbridge finished his sophomore season 6-4 with a 4.33 ERA in 13 starts. The Clermont, Florida native struck out 54 in 60 1/3 innings of work.

Eastern Florida State College finished the season on a six-game win streak and finished the season tied with Indian River State College at 14-19 in the conference and was 21-28 overall.
