The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost both ends of the doubleheader Saturday at Polk State College.
The Titans lost 4-2 and then 9-3 and were swept in the Citrus Conference series opener.
In Game 1, the Titans picked up a couple of runs in the top of the first inning and held it until the bottom of the fourth inning when Polk State tied it 2-2.
Polk State College took the lead on a Hayden Testerman RBI triple and scored on a sacrifice fly.
Eastern Florida State College finished with four hits in the game as Ray Yero had a double.
In the second game, Polk State College broke open a 1-1 game in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring seven runs. Down 8-1 the Titans scored twice in the top of the eighth inning as Iziah Santiago scored on Jake Richardson's double and then scored on Jackson Wargo's sacrifice fly.
Eastern Florida State College, who is now 6-9 overall and 0-3 in the conference, will open a three-game series against Seminole State College on Thursday. The opener will be at Bruce Bochy Field on Thursday at 5 p.m. Admission is free and fans can watch the game live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
