Baseball team loses series opener on the road
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team falls to Daytona State College in the first game of a three-game series
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team loses the series opener against Daytona State College on the road Thursday.
The Titans fell to 12-13 in the conference standings with the 6-4 loss.
Eastern Florida State College took an early lead, scoring in each of the first four innings and led 4-1 heading to the bottom of the fifth inning.
Daytona State College scored three times to tie the game 4-4. The Falcons would take the lead in the sixth inning and add a run in the eighth to pick up their 10th conference win of the season.
The series will move to Bruce Bochy Field on Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Admission is free to games on the Melbourne campus and fans can watch the doubleheader live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
