Bart Sasnett has taken over the men’s soccer program after three successful years at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School.

Sasnett was the Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Soccer at Rabun Gap Nacoochee, winning two state championships (2023, 2024) in the 4A North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association. He compiled a record of 51-7-1.

A native of Fort Walton Beach, he will return to Region 8 soccer after coaching at Daytona State College for seven seasons, compiling a 91-23-7 record with the Falcons. He started the soccer program at Daytona State College and took the program to the NJCAA National Tournament four times, won four Southeast District titles and was the Region 8 champion three times. His teams produced 13 All-Americans

Off the field his teams achieved team grade point averages of above 3.0 in almost every season he was at Daytona State College.

He started his college coaching career as an assistant coach at Andrew College and took over the men and women’s programs in 2004.

In 2007, Sasnett took over the Darton State College men’s program and spent nine seasons with the Cavaliers, accumulating a 123-42-4 record, winning five Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association championships.  Sasnett’s teams at Darton also earned two Southeast District Championships as well as making the national tournament three times (2010, 2011, 2012).

Overall, Sasnett has a 245-90-16 record in 19 season as a junior college men's soccer coach, producing 15 All-Americans, 89 All-Region, and 28 NSCAA All-South Region players.  Five Cavaliers were also recognized as GCAA Most Valuable player as well. 

Coach Sasnett has also earned Region XVII Coach of the Year honors six times, Southeast District Coach of the Year three times, and the NSCAA South Region Coach of the Year in 2011

Sasnett played at Choctaw High School where he made the state all-star team and went on to play at Andrew College, earning all-region honors. He finished his college carer at Tennessee Wesleyan, graduating with a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science. He went on to get a Master’s degree in Athletic Administration and Coaching Education in 2014.

He holds a NSCAA National, Advanced National and Premier coaching diplomas.
