Women's golf team has solid first round at Flagler Fall Slam

The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team had a solid first round at the Flagler Fall Slam at the Marsh Creek Country Club in St. Augustine.

The Titans are in 17th place after shooting a 332 as a team in the first round. Teammates Delia Timpy and Kacey Walker are tied for 26th after shooting a 5-over 77 in the first round.

Trinity Falzone finished with an 85 and Gianna Piscitelli had a 93.

"Marsh Creek is a challenging course and coupled with the wind it only plays more challenging," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "Good solid round by Delia and Trinity made a good comeback after a rough start."

The 18 teams will tee off in the final round on Tuesday.
